Yesterday I spoke to Jesus on the telephone and this is what I said: You better give me back my money Goddamnit, 'cause I gave it to the poor, and while those faithless tramps are now sucking on spliffs, I'm living on the dole, all alone, because my girl has gone away, calling me a loser. She said that we don't have no future because I don't have any ambitions. I said "my fortune is in heaven", just like you said so! But that doesn't amount to much in this modern day world. 'Cause you gotta make ends meet, and no matter how much I pray, Christ don't pay no bills.
It doesn't make much sense to fall to either side.
That's why I stay in the middle.
Yesterday I spoke to Satan on the telephone and this is what I said: You better give me back my soul, bloody hell!, 'cause I'm losing control. And all my life seems to be spiralling down, hard and fast. And I just can't trust nobody, can't even trust myself at this point 'cause I want to have it all, but it never seems enough. And it's like this: money, sex and violence keep me living on the edge. But now that chaos is ruling my mind, and greed is driving me mad. So it seems that the higher up you get the harder you may fall.
