Wisdom and Strength
Of all of the pleas I could carry to prayer,
Of things I could ask and receive,
I have one petition that haunts all my cares,
I ask wisdom and strength for me,
My burdens are many for all people here,
I convey them swift to Your throne,
But, theres just one request, for myself, I bear,
That wisdom and strength I be shown,
The wisdom I seek
is that of the meek,
To be kept aware of my path
that Your loving good will has cast,
The strength that I ask
is the strength for the task,
The task to accept and achieve
what Your good will has deemed right for me,
I knock and the door shall be opened to me,
I know if I seek I shall find,
My prayer to You, now and forever, will be
that Your good will be also mine,
And my wisdom and strength be devine,
