Lyrics
So, Pray For the Children
Littleones, with fresh faces and eyes that shine so bright,
When they wake,
they see each day so new in morning's light,
The innocence I see
is just a burning plea,
to help, the Father now is calling me,
To pray for the children,
Deliver them, and tend to each new need,
So, pray for the children,
We have just today, for their eternity,
Little ones,
with tiny legs and feet that run so fast,
As they play,
their worries wane while laughs and giggles last,
But little legs ,you know,
need nourishment to grow,
Less food and shoes how long are they to go,
How long---
can we look upon others,
The plight---
of these sisters and brothers, (bridge)
Neglect---
is the tepid heart's sin,
For,whatever we do
for these children, it's true,
That,we do unto Him---unto Him,
Little ones,
who'll never own a book or learn to write,
As they grow,
they'll never hear the Word or see the Light,
It's up to you and me,
to be the light they see,
The Light of Christ is now what we must be,
And care for the children
Deliver them, and tend to each new need,
So, pray for the children,
We have just today, for their eternity,
Little ones,
with breath of life so eager to begin, (optional tag)
Jesus calls,
"Now, summon these and do not hinder them."
Little ones,
