This is one of the first "real" hip hop patterns I've ever created because of the functionality of an actual virtual drum machine in lieu of just a sequencer such as FLStudio. This is the first project I did on Reason 3.0 and I've fallen in love with the program. The drum machine tied into my midi keyboard and I was able to get the idea down, then just mimick the pattern on the virtual device itself. I used an awesome sampler to hook my midi controller up with those awesome violin sounds. The Violins sound great, and playing chords on Violin doesn't even require me to own a damn violin. I just play the keyboard and you'd never know.
