Almost nine years ago, he embarked on a quest to bring to the rap game nothing but originality from the perspective of a native Chicagoian. Micpsya has been heavily influenced by various artists ranging from Jay-Z, Lupe Fiasco, Nas, LL Cool J, and many more. Not only does he plan to create his own nitch in the industry, he also plans to establish himself as a future executive. "I've always had an ear for good music. I think that's why I've been so critical of myself. As a fan of many different artists, I know what's hot and what isn't. I try to apply that same logic to myself when I'm recording. I have to be honest and sincere with my music or else the people won't feel me. I don't want to be perceived as a rapper that was constructed by record executives to sell records. Being myself is what got me to this point, and I will continue to grow and better myself in order to become a better artist."
