Story behind the song
A guy hops in his car after work, while he's drivin he takes his eyes off the road to change the radio station, and he hits someone and kills them... the story begins..
Lyrics
Storm Chamber:
I left the diner at eight after the meeting was planned;
I then drove to the ocean to put my feet in the sand
Parked next to leaves and a branch, watching the tides;
Stars dropped from the skies, birds and rockets would fly
Drinking heavily on some Tequila, half of that;
With its red paint, I'm sitting on the hood of my Cadillac
The moon was so reflective on the oceanfront;
I didn't feel the need to pull a gun, but I smoked a blunt
I'm a rebel employee; the devil controlled me;
I don't like rap, or rock; I listen to the best of the oldies
I knew that I wasn't in the best condition to drive;
But I got up off the hood, and entered the side
Threw the bottle in the back seat, grabbed my black key;
Reversed onto the highway in third gear at fast speeds
Passing all the other cars, my windows down;
This convertible's tops dropped through my little town
Flipping through radio stations, it was an eighties occasion;
Only were commercials, I've had lately no patience
Looked up to turn left onto a dark, gloomy street;
Turned on my brights at night, I haven't cruised in weeks
Still flipping stations, irritated, I swerved and cussed;
And right then, I hit a solid object and I heard a thump
(Oh f*** , please don't let it be so
noises trees, leaves, owlsect)
hook (2x):
I couldn't believe it; I just murdered a victim;
Driving around town, I swerved and I hit him
By now, people prolly know he missin, an he aint talkin
cuz I've got him in the trunk, he was a dead man walkin
Dove Dozer:
Now I'm cruzin up the block, an yo I'm startin ta trip//
but before someone calls the cops, I'm parkin tha whip//
I pulled up in tha parkin lot, slowed up and stopped wit a thump//
what am I supposed to do with this body, locked in tha trunk//
a second ago I wanted to get home, and had my foot on the gas//
but now I'm guilty of a murder, with a corpse to put in tha trash//
I'm lookin back and forth, side to side, with a body to hide//
can't believe this guy aint alive, so I hop back into my ride//
startin ta break a sweat, I shift gears from one to two...//
If I get caught they'll break my neck, an jail time is what I'll do//
now swervin through blocks, an criss-crossing through tha streets//
this sh** is 'bout my freedom now, I can't just toss him to tha police//
had my share of bein locked up, I still remember the grey bars//
so the only choice thats left, is to dump this guy in a grave yard//
I wont play hard, but sh** now I'm in trouble from a mistake//
so I park next ta tha funeral home, grab a shovel an a rake//
sweat drippin from my brow, gotta bury em, before they found us//
tighly grippin the handle, I'm swingin my arms diggin the ground up//
it sounds f*** ed but you'd do the same in this predicament//
I couldn't leave the man like this, lyin dead up on the cement//
he was a dead man walkin, the future held his fate, no doubt//
If I woulda watched where I was goin, and not takin that route//
I'd prolly be at home by now, with my feet up on my couch//
hook (2x):
I couldn't believe it; I just murdered a victim;
Driving around town, I swerved and I hit him
By now, people prolly know he missin, an he aint talkin
cuz I've got him in the trunk, he was a dead man walkin
