Story behind the song
While studying the book of Psalm we had a verse catch our eye: "Will the Lord cast off forever? Will he be favorable no more? Has his mercy ceased forever? Has his promises failed forevermore?" Music flooded our spirit and the writing process for Sanctified began. This, as in all of our recorded music, is a scratch track and has many flaws. Soon we'll get to a studio to put down some real music!
Lyrics
(v.1) Will the Lord cast off forever? Will he be favorable no more? Has his mercy ceased forever? Has his promises failed forevermore? (v.2) Consider my afflictions and deliver me For I do not forget your law. Plead my cause and deliver me. Quicken me according to your word. (chorus) I rise before the dawning of the morning and I cry for help. I hope in your word. Let my cry come before you, Oh Lord. Give me understanding according to your word. (v.3) You met us with the blessings of goodness. Set a crown of pure gold upon our head. We asked life from you and you gave it to us. Length of days forever and ever, Amen. (v.4) Our glory is great in your salvation. Honor and majesty you placed upon us. For you have made us most blessed forever. You've made us exceedingly glad in your presence. (repeat chorus)
