Aaron Denny (a.k.a. Spaceshot) is a multi-instrumental artist who has been writing, performing, and recording music since the age of 10. His story is an expansive musical vista that spans nearly two decades. Deeply inspired by his father Marc Denny, a professional musician and entertainer, Aaron has developed an original repertoire and cutting edge performance for the new millennium. Fueled by the classic Jazz, Funk and Rock music that his father exposed him to, Aaron was determined at a young age to become a great musician. “My father taught me things that you can’t learn in school, things that are only learned from the experience of the road and from hard work.” After picking up the guitar in 1987, Aaron quickly formed his first rock band and began playing at fairs and festivals in the area. “In school, kids called me Spaceshot because I would totally zone out and be thinking about music. My friends would come over and wonder why I didn’t want to go out. All I wanted to do was practice. I was obsessed.” In 1990, when he was 14, his father suddenly passed away. This was an event that would greatly affect him and shape his years to come as a musician. “In many ways, he was why I played music; so when he died it made me so much more determined to do what he always wanted to do, but because of the cards he was dealt was unable to.” Aaron began incessantly practicing and writing original music. He was selected four times as top in the state on jazz guitar and toured Europe with the Sound Of America in 1993. After high school, he went on to attend Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. “Learning music is such an infinite process, and when I went to Berklee it really opened my eyes to the vast knowledge that exists. I knew I could have spent a lifetime there, but I also had a dream and passion pulling me toward my own creative path. Over the last 10 years Aaron has written a collection of over 200 songs in a unique pop rock style that can only be described as his own. Mixing elements from multiple genres such as R ‘n’ B, Hard Rock, Jazz, and Alternative, he has created a new rock ‘n’ roll sound that is exploding onto the scene. In recent years Aaron has performed in diverse venues throughout New England, honing his playing and performing skills. “It is very important to be able to relate to your audience and to give them an experience they won’t soon forget.
