Hi folks. I have added a lot of videos recently. Please take a look!
Hi folks, This site acts as a personal archive of my work. So you'll find my best recordings here as well as some pretty crappy ones. The earliest recordings here were made on simple cassette decks, others were made on mobile phones, some are live recordings made at various gigs over the years, a handful were made in small recording studios, but most of the more recent ones were made at home on a Zoom portable studio, which itself is now rather ancient! If you like a song and want to download it, click on 'Full song info' for that song and you will see the download link. You can also read the lyrics and any background information on the songs that I may have added. All my music is available for free - enjoy :) cheers, Charles

Story behind the song
The band had this great groove they used to play - I just made up some lyrics for it that seemed right - and it became one of our most requested live songs. Chris just wails on this track and you can hear how tight the rest of the band is... This is another cut from the August 7 1982 Da-Da gig at the Caspar Inn, Mendocino, California. The picture shows Tony Vito in flight on the drums with John Bush behind on the bass.
Lyrics
I was riding in a Caddy in the middle of the city down 14th Avenue New York city - real nitty gritty on a dirty and greasy afternoon There on the sidewalk was a madman running and he caught me pulling down for the lights He pulled open the door - jumped in - sat down and he flashed out a ten-inch knife and he said - "I don't want no trouble mister I just wanna grease your pole" I thought I was in some kind of heavy metal movie but I didn't have a ray gun I said to myself - "What the hell do you do with this kind of street bum"? I looked at him - he looked me I said - "Let's go to my place and then you can grease my pole do anything you like but don't cut my skin! Oh you're so greasy! Come on - go grease my pole"! Oh you're so greasy! Come on - grease my...!!
