Da' Menace (Dale Thompson) has had
various encounters with success early in his
career as a musician. He grew up in Ohio,
however as a young child, he never really
understood the culture of Hip-Hop. Da' Menace
settled toward Hip-Hop in late 1996 when he
was forced to face the realities of life on his
own. Graduating from Elyria High School in
1996 unsure of what he was going to do with his
life, Da' Menace moved to Atlanta where he
became energized by the sounds of his own
voice and ground-breaking opportunities
presented to him through his new surroundings.
Unsure of where he was heading, Da' Menace
started writing music and developing his own
style of rap. In 1997, Da' Menace moved back
to Ohio with his new found affection and not real
sure how to pursue it. Da' Menace, with a
revelation to succeed in lifejoined the United States Marine Corps in
February of that same year. Spending his first
tour primarily overseas gave him the time to
study and develop his style giving him the edge
to be the achiever that he is today. After his tour
overseas, he moved back to the states where he
was stationed in Maryland. There in Maryland
Da' Menace was fortunate enough to meet Ron
Holgard a.k.a "Bellz". Da' Menace and Bellz
started writing and producing together eventually
hooking up with Brook Don Entertainment out of
New York. After releasing his first single "Till the
Casket Drops" with Brook Don, Da' Menace
exposed a side of himself that led to other
opportunities as he decided to leave Brook
Don. Holding it down for the streets and
keeping it real, Da' Menace started earning the
respect he well deserved from fans and
admirers. In Maryland around early 2002, while
still in the Marines, Da' Menace met a
Producer/DJ by the name of DJ Tech who was
from Texas but stationed there as well. As
electrifying, outspoken, and confident as he was
alone, Da' Menace hooked up with DJ Tech and
together started Scratch and Spin Productions.
Moving once again and being stationed in
Houston Texas, Da' Menace exploded onto the
underground scene with his first album titled
“Scratch and Spin Production Presents",
followed by “Scratch and Spin Presents All or
Nothing". After selling over three thousand CD's
in Houston independently, Da' Menace decided
to move on to bigger things. Hooking up with
Vince Bryant, Jack Spade, and Sadik McNeil,
Da' Menace had a few sessions and was
welcomed into the Rap Reform Party (a.k.a
Double R P) Family.
