Well, I write music for my pleasure and i hope for the pleasure of others. I make an effort to not sound trite but there are times when songwriting doesn't come to me as easily as others. Story behind the song
I wrote this love poem in calculus class. It was one of the first love poems i ever wrote. It was one in a series of love poems that i made around the same time. The series was titles "Love at a Distance".
Lyrics
There was a time the clock would strangle me but now it has hands more like yours before soft and wrinkled gray now frail, defiend soft when i lie alone at night i wake up to find the clock embracing me a gentler era born in your memory once the sands of time were blown in my face my eyes watered, wasted trudging through this desert istumbled upon love you are my oasis, my paradise, my zion, my heaven's gate and i stand before you as patiently as always as the world spins around us one thing can never change my love for you the truth that still remains a boy and girl in a doubtless notion swimming in a sea of ions where constance is never constant, improbability possible where one seed can only grow a sprout will become a tree in time
