I composed 'Rocker, Roller' in 1988. In 2005, I added a revised version of 'Rocker, Roller' to my album 'Small Town Blues'. I perform the lead vocals; The background vocals are performed by The Sweet Kittens; The guitar is performed by Keith Maloney; Vocals at fade-out of track are performed by T. Shawn Klugh II. All the other instruments are performed by me. The recording, mixing and mastering work was done at T.S. Klugh Studio. The 'Rocker, Roller' track available here is the Single Version.
Lyrics
It's been so long since I held you in my arms. It's been so long since I saw you in your charms. It's been so long that my hopes were almost gone. It's been so long I know. It's been so long that I felt I couldn't go on. You know why? 'Cause I'm a rocker, a roller, A ten ton locomotive, And I'll never change, Nobody can change me. And she's a rocker, a roller, And nobody's gonna control her, 'Cause nobody can, No one can except me. And yet I feel like a man on the edge of a dream. And still there is no sign of what is or what is to be. The dream of a whole new world depends upon me. Uh, if I give you all that I can, Baby, can I be your one and only man? 'Cause I'm a rocker, a roller, A ten ton locomotive, And I'll never change, Nobody can change me. And she's a rocker, a roller, And nobody's gonna control her, 'Cause nobody can, No one can except me. 'Cause I'm a rocker, a roller, A ten ton locomotive, And I'll never change, Nobody can change me. And she's a rocker, a roller, And nobody's gonna control her, 'Cause nobody can, No one can except me. Oh, yeah! Well, I'm a rocker, a roller, A ten ton locomotive, And I'll never change, Nobody can change me. Well, well! Well, she's a rocker, a roller, And nobody's gonna control her, 'Cause nobody can, No one can except me. 'Cause I'm a rocker, a roller.
