Story behind the song
When I wrote this song I was suffering from the stomach flu. So consequently it sounds a little grim. But at least it kept my mind off my ills. The story begins as our fair princess (flute) sits high in her tower contemplating suicide. She has been informed that her true love has run away. At 1:48 she is told that the prince didn't actually run away he killed someone and was put to death. At 3:31 she is introduced to her future husband (trombone)whom she must marry in order to satisfy the king. He of course is handsome but very evil as it was him who framed her true love so that he could have her. At 4:14 her true love (trumpet) returns he is alive! At 4:27 the evil price and her true love engage in fight. At 4:57 her true love wins. At 5:06 she thanks him for his bravery. At 5:10 they, well... live happily ever after. THE END.
