The band started out as with Dave, Andrew, and one other kid who quit before we ever had a practice. Then Dave wrote all the songs. After searching for a drummer, they found Dan, and after one practice knew he was the right drummer for them. With Dave on vocals, andrew on bass, and dan on drums. When they had found a new singer, they tried him out, and loved him. The kid they love has become known as "Kyle", who listen to a lot of hair metal and Misfits. With a new singer, their came a new name kyle soon quit the band. and The Alarmed found a new singer Dan (D2) So know, with four members- D2 Vocals & Guitar, Dave - guitar/vox, Andrew- bass, Dan- Drums the Alarmed have teamed together to write songs about the problems with society, their hate of never having any money to do anything, and songs about how "Batman and Superman can't get along" and "how there's no hope for anyone!" So of the Alarmed's main influences include Misfits, Crass, Minor Threat, The Unseen, Dead Kennedys, TSOL, and OPERATION IVY.
