Escaping the dungeons of the Evil Baron's castle, our hero and the princess find the guard tower has dropped its portculis and is too heavily fortified. The Baron's men give chase, forcing our hero to make his last stand on the battlements in the pouring rain. As they close in, all appears lost.
But then our hero pulls out a dog whistle and blows it hard. The Baron's men flee in panic as they see a dragon's head rearing over the battlements. As a child, our hero rescued a baby dragon who's pledged loyalty to him ever since. A dragon that is far from being a baby any longer.
As our hero and the princess climb aboard the dragon to fly to safety, the Evil Baron calls to his side an old crone fabled for her evil black magicks. He orders the old woman to whip up a terrible thunderstorm and send all manner of curses upon our fleeing hero.
Hail, lightning, vultures, crows, griffins and other dangers plague our hero's flight back to the safety of the village.
