Story behind the song
This song was written around the anniversary of the Oklahoma City bombing just prior to the execution of the evil person responsable. We just wanted to share our collective feelings and do not wish to profit from anyone's pain & suffering.
Lyrics
Wednseday morning, April 19 terror struck the heart of the heartland One hundred sixty eight souls were lost for a crazy-ass cause of a demented madman One less petal in the Little Flowers Church leaves such a big void , now isn't it a pity and 19 children who will never play again in the sun of Oklahoma City Blackened skies bleed shattered lives when the smoke clears his eyes show no mercy Pain rings true for families torn down their loss of love and forever lasting agony They try to fogive the men and their heartless sins, now isn't it a pity They try to wash the stains but the blood and the tears remain in Oklahoma City CHORUS: Sons and Daughters, Husbands and Wives With never a chance to say good-bye Explain this to me if you think you can justify all this senseless bloodshed I never could have dreamed in the land of the free that lives could be lost and hearts would be bleed Evil shadows with no remorse stealing innocent lives, now isn't it a pity I raise my head with tears falling down as I look to the clouds of Oklahoma City CHORUS
