A song about being thrust into the world of social interaction without proper preparation.

A lo-fi mix of cynicism with pop smarts. I like to think I can put a song together alright enough, and I'm vain enough to think the words are good.
My name is Derek and this is my one man band called Deek V. I wrote and played all these songs myself. Enjoy.

Story behind the song
The "solo" in the second break is just the "solo" from the first break played backwards. Random noises pop up in the verses to keep it from getting stale. The crowd noises are taken from Hard Day's Night and This Is Spinal Tap.
Lyrics
Price of Sociality Slave to expectations Campaigning for emancipation Now I’m lazy lazy lazy Cos you saved me saved me saved me I’m no longer sure What all the fuss was for I’m missing the whip Defined by principle Faceless and invincible Now I’m unsure unsure unsure What my hands are for Now I long for when I’d just do what was said Does freedom always taste this bitter Used to hide behind a smile Then I’d disappear for a while I don’t really believe In this cult of personality -short solo- Now I’m troubled troubled troubled Cos it’s too sudden, oh so sudden And I can’t recall Why I took the fall To be another social beast Used to hide behind a smile Then I’d disappear for a while I don’t really believe In this cult of personality Oh whoa
