Story behind the song
The idea and motive when we first started doing our Hip Hop. Traveling... Really the start of Cal-S- developing those chop techniques (check the guitar) flipped a tight vocal sample on top and a concept was born.
Lyrics
Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo... (Tone Dogg) I decide to be/ a live emcee/ and ride in thee/ glass bottom boat made of ivory/ chapter one, the first dynasty/ travel farther than the eye can see/ and put 15s on the satellites, "So the World Can Hear"/ that I have it like this/ and 2 bags of chips/ they claim to be/ as live as me/ when they quietly/ curse my name in privacy/ now I speak, "So the World Can Hear", now that's irony/ make them nod their head like they all agree/ entirely/ gettin' hyped like they suffering from high anxiety/ lighting fires to propiety/ stacks on the stage/ made the crowd react violently/ And it's conformed the earth done heard this/ superb-ness/ like the moon and sun converging/ I do this, "So the World Can Hear" and interpret/ this as fresher than detergent/ perfect/ and when I'm on the mic, I get sick like I'm allergic/ just "So the World Can Hear" this commotion/ as the boat afloats the ocean/ I spit leave it soaking/ bumping like the globes in convulsions/ I rap leave the track roasted/ covered with ash, yo, grab the lotion/ I want this to sound clear/ "So the World Can Hear" this here/ (Chorus) Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo, Yo.../ So the World Can Hear (repeated) (Ric) Too much east coast dick licking/and too many emcees spit fiction/ so I rhyme like a technician/ of emcee division/ genocide is committed when the mic touch the lips and/ emcees run for their whips/ but get hit/ 'cause my rhymes is quick/ the palm throbs for mic grips/ flows with chips/ like gun shots from gun clips/ to make more backflips/ than acrobatics/ battling me? build you stamina, you ain't got enough to go on/ fuck a marathon/ my flows long/ like napalm bombs/ come to a hood near you, peep the hook on the song/ I spoke/ and the whole world felt the repercussion/ headphones delivering the fix where the ear fucked in/ they try to slow our production/ from fear of the poisonous consumption/ emcees ask, what's the secret to your lethal dosage?/ see, I study stories of jesus christ and moses/ allah, forgive for the destruction of my foes and/ setting up shop on their corners/ now everybody's rocking me/ now that's what the fuck I call a rap monopoly/ "So the World Can Hear" (Chorus) (Cal-S-) Anticipation/ is an understatement/ before we rip mics for your wonder and amazement/ over this clap of thunder, and percep-i-tation/ that agitates crowds to plundering, desecration/ of authority, and its abitration/ it's sufficating/ and like a malpraticing ph.d I'm losing my patience/ may be it's just me/ but as challenging as it seems/ we could still get checkmate/ with no weapons 'cause I'm more than straight/ [with] tables, full crates/ rhymes and an 808/ plus more tracks than a train station on lay-a-way/ all for your listening delights/ walking old ladies 'cross the street we're that nice/ rock 'til the boat capsized/ and did our own thing even when/ everyone else ill-adviced/ now that our sounds in the air/ disrupting the atmosphere/ despersing equally into each hemisphere/ where it travels to find every individuals ear/ where it shakes each mind literally clear/ we'll let the guitar take it from there/ ending this whole affair/ in applaud and cheer/ broadcasting in from the tape player/ or in the spotlights glare/ "So the World Can Hear" (Chorus repeats until outro)
