Kyle Taylor aka Young Nyne was born in Norfolk, VA and he is now 19 years of age. Young Nyne is one of the few truly unique hip-hop artists to revel atop the local hip hop scene during the early 2000s. Young Nyne spent most of his time since 1994 at the age of nine rapping. The music game is his passion. Eventually young Nyne relocated to Virginia Beach, VA. It was in Virginia Beach when Young Nyne met up with producer Tone Flamez. When Young Nyne laced his lyrics on Tone Flamez tracks it was like magic made in heaven. There hasn’t been a combination like this since Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg hit the scene. Young Nyne and Tone Flamez started a group called Prodigal Rage. They found a third member and started making hot songs together. Because of Young Nyne’s smooth delivery and sometimes unmatched lyrical skills and Tone Flamez tracks Prodigal Rage won many showcases. They even went on tour with Ashanti and Fat Joe. They were also special guest at Russell Simmons Hip Hop Summit in Detroit ,Michigan April of 2003. With all the success of Prodigal Rage success the group disbursed but Young Nyne and Tone Flamez continue to make hits. Young Nyne has started his solo career off with a bang. He is back on the local scene ripping up showcases with his unique way of putting metaphors together. Yes! He is still with his producer Tone Flamez and they plan to take over the hip hop airways with nothing but ear popping tracks and masterful lyrics. Young Nyne recently was chosen as a finalist in a GigUrban Showcase. He has performed at the MP Island Café, Blakely’s Night Club, and many more venues. Young Nyne was also asked to perform at the 1st Annual Artist & Musician Expo of Hampton Roads which is one of the most talked about Independent Artist Showcases ever. In 2005 Young Nyne had the opportunity to open up for the legendary Kool G. Rap and Slick Rick on the legends of hip hop tour. Young Nyne first solo mixed tape featuring Tone Flamez, The Reality Show is in the streets now. Someone or something comes along that makes us sit up and pay attention.
