I may never make it to Nashville, and I may never be on the radio, but that's okay. That's not why I do what I do. I do what I do because I understand things best when I get them down in rhyming lines set to music. I do what I do because I believe that my Heavenly Father enjoys the songs that few hear just as much as He enjoys the songs that everyone hears. I do what I do because it's one of the best ways I know how to worship God, encourage friends, and uplift the body of Christ.

Story behind the song
I wrote this song a couple weeks after getting back from a mission trip to Panama. It seemed like everywhere I turned I was under spiritual attack. And I know I wasn't doing the best job of dealing with it. Struggles and temptations were pulling me down deeper and deeper into discouragement and doubt. I finally realized the only way to make it was to run to my Heavenly Father every single time I was attacked and stay in His arms for as long as I could.
