Hey, thanks for stopping by. I'm just a guy who likes writing songs, and this is a place for me to put the songs I write for others to critique.

Story behind the song
Started writing this when I was contemplating starting a long distance relationship. Two of my friends got engaged to people they met online from different countries. It occured to me that there are greater distances between a man and a woman than just a 6 hour plane ride.
Lyrics
If I could pull you through the 5000 miles of copper wire that join us and separate us If I could travel with the speed of my cheap words If I could fly up to the satelite and beam down next to you Would we still be parted by the sea But if the sea ran dry Would you meet me where continents divide I'd look deep inside And find you there A promise cries from the ocean floor Can you hear the distant echo Eye strain blinds But I'll send you a smile How was your day, I've been thinking of you I can reach out and touch you like never before But I'm still short of touching your mind What a tangled web was woven When I first was bold to hold your hand Now this stone-age man is sinking in the sea Wading in anyway Why fight the waves But if the sea ran dry Would you meet me where continents divide I'd look deep inside And find you there A promise cries from the ocean floor Can you hear the distant echo Spanning the globe A village the prophets fortold One click away from Communtion I'm waiting for a better city to come Where I'll stand with my hands on your heart When the sea runs dry Will you meet me half way I'll look deep inside And find you there Distance far behind Every mountain levelled This promise cries from the ocean floor Can you hear the distant echo When the sea runs dry I'll look deep inside Distance far behind
