Story behind the song
Aw, I just thought that considering Jesus was 15 when he found out he was the Messiah, he probably had a best friend who he used to, I don't know, shoot hoops with or something. Why is there no mention of him in the Bible? Surely Jesus wasn't a loner! He could turn water into wine, he must have had a few mates. Thus this is the song of the forgotten friend.

Jesus has started acting as though he were somebody higher than me,
and I don't appreciate his 'holier-than-thou' attitude,
