Acoustic-based song, excellent wandering bass line, ebow guitar break. Optimistic chorus - kind of like a gypsy anthem!

Artist picture
Folk-orientated indie rock. Some classical guitar inspired intros and melodies too. If Muse chilled out a bit they would probably sound like us.
Chris Murphy and The Greenlovers are based in Sheffield, UK and formed when Chris decided to 'do a Dylan' and take a break from the acoustic scene. The line-up is himself on vocals, guitar and piano, Jav on bass and backing vocals, Richard Klonowski on lead guitar and Dave Webb on drums and backing vocals.

Story behind the song
About a good friend I fell out with. We're now reconciled but we'd argue about so much irrelevant stuff and get up to a lot of stupid drunk capers. I suppose it was a rallying cry to him. More worthy than to behave so badly to ourselves and others.
Lyrics
Don't leave me hangin' on my friend Don't sell me short again my friend We sail the same seas you and me - progress then break for all to see --------------------------------------- Worthier, we're worthier than that Worthier, we're earthier than that --------------------------------------- Don't leave me stay and sit awhile Don't leave me all alone on trial We caught the same bug you and me We bought the same old dream now real --------------------------------------- Worthier, we're worthier than that Worthier, we're earthier than that --------------------------------------- Don't say that I don't understand, the format measure of my hand - wand, ain't real Don't say that I don't understand the format, measure of my hand - wand -- --------------------------------------- Worthier, we're worthier than that Worthier, we're earthier than that Than that, than that than that --
