Story behind the song
I wrote this one night while lying in my bed, I was living in a run down old house, I slept in the basement. I had just got off the phone with a friend who was talking about one of her friends, and how they had such a bad relationship but they were afraid of being apart. This happens all the time and hoped that one day I never ended in that situation. While I was lying in bed, I had my guitar and a hand held recorder that I usually let record as I fiddle around. I fell asleep in the process. When I woke up I picked up the hand held recorder and listened to what I did last night. Then this song came on that I barely remember playing, let alone sing any words to. But there it was, so I took the hand held recorder and placed it up to a microphone that I had set up in my little bed room recording studio, and made a composition out of it. I really liked the end result. So when it came down to recording the album version of the song, I wanted the same feeling, but this time with the whole band. Wa la!
