Drawn from their inspiration, love and passion for music, Genre Belfry was formed in December 2004 with Giru (singer/songwriter/guitarist), Kenn (lead guitarist), Nante (bassist) and Julz (drummer). It was the ultimate result of an Internet advertisement posted by Giru sometime in November 2004 to look for musicians that could eventually complete the band and will help him give life to his compositions. Since then, the group managed to record and self-produce their original tracks based from the band’s musicality and artistic viewpoint and had performed at some local shows and productions. Genre Belfry can be classified as Pop-Rock / Alternative type of band with a touch of acoustic music. All songs were inspired from real-life experiences of people. The band’s name is truly what it implies; Genre Belfry stands for the expression of both their feelings and insights through original and classy songs composed.
