I am grilly; all these musics were written and multi-tracked by me, except where i say. i don't try and do any style of song in particular - largely, though, i make song-based tunes, consisting of guitar music augmented with the aid of my multi-track computer. so quite normal, then. i have prog and electronica tendencies as well, and i'd best describe my music as::: prog-pop.

Story behind the song
sharing some lyrics with shit, these two tracks have a similar harmonic feel (both featuring a minor 6th chord heavily) so i thought i would capitalise on that and spread them across the album to give it a more conceptual feel. this is hightened by the two halves of the record (the second starting with edmond) both having deliberately seguing tracks. this track forms part of the second halves central, 3-track suite of piss, name in vain, and track 11 (instrumental tracks on this album were not given official names). i couldn't think of a second verse lyric so i used a sample of lord fear from knightmare of the record
