Hi folks. I have added a lot of videos recently. Please take a look!
Hi folks, This site acts as a personal archive of my work. So you'll find my best recordings here as well as some pretty crappy ones. The earliest recordings here were made on simple cassette decks, others were made on mobile phones, some are live recordings made at various gigs over the years, a handful were made in small recording studios, but most of the more recent ones were made at home on a Zoom portable studio, which itself is now rather ancient! If you like a song and want to download it, click on 'Full song info' for that song and you will see the download link. You can also read the lyrics and any background information on the songs that I may have added. All my music is available for free - enjoy :) cheers, Charles

Story behind the song
It's just a joke song - a chance to have fun with my Cry Baby wah-wah pedal - and whistle and sing silly 1930s style scat. Vodeeodoh! This is from a performance at the Caspar Inn, Mendocino, on March 15 1983.
Lyrics
Oh Katie - pretty Katie I'm a fool over you I need you so - don't tell me no You'll discover I'm a lover too Oh Katie - Katie what on earth shall I do? American girl you turn me on Just look at you smile If you pour me a drink I'll sing you a song And we'll relax for a while! Katie! Can I take you on a datie? Bring your husband and children too They'd better get used to me being with you Oh Katie - bring the car - don't be latie! You've got the money and I've got the charm Let me hold you in my arms! And darling please kiss that monster goodbye He don't do you no good Oh I know with your kind of dough We could settle down in Hollywood Ya ta ta tee ta! etc. Oh Katie - bring the car - don't be latie! You've got the money and I've got the charm Let me hold you in my arms!
