Retired, and enjoying it with my music! My philosophy regarding my music is K.I.S.S. (Keep It Simple, Stupid!): simple message, simple lyrics, simple melody so that anyone can sing along. If you're looking for a professional recording, you're in the wrong place. If you're capable of listening to a melody for consideration, then you're in the right place. I am always hoping that someone will see through my unprofessional singing and see the quality of the song and lyrics and decide to perform and/or record any of my songs. Of course, publishers are also welcome to publish my music. All of my songs are registered through SOCAN; so, if you are profiting from my music, please let your music affiliate (e.g. ASCAP) know. Thanks.

Story behind the song
I felt that a new Christmas song was needed to complement all of the excellent existing Christmas songs. It was recorded with me, Dale Matthies, on the Roland Fantom-S and a friend, Grant Ellison, singing.
Lyrics
In Bethlehem, A Child was born In stable dark, Damp and forlorn. Angel choirs sang To shepherds near That Christ was born And not to fear. They knelt in awe Before the Child, In cradle lay So meek and mild. Mary looked on At humble sight, Joseph at side Throughout the night. God's promise came That quiet night To save mankind From Satan's might. The devil's hold Of hate and fear Replaced with love By saviour dear. In Bethlehem, A Child was born In stable dark, Damp and forlorn. Fore'er from now In praise and laud, In faith we trust This gift from God.
