Story behind the song
It's about how the government, media, and society try to regulate the lives of so many people, especially the youth, and Im just trying to tell everyone that it's time slow down, relax, think independently about the world we live in, and stop letting corporations and the media guide our lives.
Lyrics
let me demonstrate just for a little bit, let me excavate through all the bullshit, commercials try to haunt me, but all i wanna do is live with the music in harmony, just let me be me cuz i dont understand popularity, manuever between the lines with precise mobilarity, you throw me in your system but i cant stand the upgrade, let yourself free and dont be afraid, smooth like herb extracts, penetrating lung sacs, tranquil habitat, learn to adapt, just let me rap and let me sing n let me live n let me think, all aspects of the music melodically in sync, minds muse over abuse and all of your worlds fueds, for money and control but i just dont see the use, while cash and fashion become the national religion, we lounge in a garage making music just chillin, enter my life to see a whole different tempo, keep active but i know when to let go, fly high sky in a field of fine grass, high above the clouds theres so much to grasp, just let us live i never hurt a soul ill never hurt a kid just let us think i got a mind and i use it youll never rob me of my music cuz i reflect and refract facts of this artcraft taking it back for those who know where its at, my contribution psychadelic elevation with the music so soothin, mental revolution people rise up strip the crowns from the clowns, its time to take our lives back the time is now, we gotta learn i wanna see you all free minds, living life in disregard to what the media assigns, come relax in my shack share some theories share some rhymes, weve become refugees but committed no crimes, show me the meaning i wanna see an existence, listen to the way that i teach when i rip this, reaching for the sky with my natural kush, cuz i grow like a tree so im stronger then a bush, deep roots sense no need for troops, i make music cuz someones gotta teach the youth, slow it down time to time to learn about myself, cuz this life is so fast paced the break really helps, decode the stealth, building up energy, i try to share my peace but theyre just not letting me, so i shout i scream cry and plea, i try to drown my worries and light up a tree, then come the lawsuits and corporate ass boots, you can cut above the surface but youll never get my roots, while some men live to die in their fortune, we gone walk through the darkness carrying our torches, burning this culture of consuming, extracting a nirvana despite your evil doing, breakin through your fabrication peace has now become the fad, its our choice to rejoice, now i hope your glad, my life is more then just dilated pixels, supplyin by the fistfulls rhymes and syllables, my syllabus strong like hemp strains from cannabis, they planned my life but i rewrote the manuscripts, i cant just sit and let this life pass me by, so i ride with the music and i soar through the sky, i witness the earth from a free view at last, high above the clouds theres so much more to grasp, "let life live let us share our gift, let life live come with us and take a lift, just let life live show me what youve got to give, so lets live our lives and let that life live"
