Story behind the song
This song is about someone who is addicted to drug taking and the person singing is hoping they can get over this addiction that is destroying their friends life. I wrote this as I experienced the effects of drug use in a job I was doing in 2003. It sort of became an anthem in the office after that...
Lyrics
I saw him taking the white line, and it was fuelling his anger And when it flowed through his veins it was fuelling his anger He don't know how he got here, he doesn't know how He saw an opportuity to get a life now He spends his time high with marks on his skin He's hopelessly addicted he can't give in I saw him taking the white line, and it was fuelling his anger And when it flowed through his veins it was fuelling his anger He gets through the day by not getting through All his money goes on this addiction too He finds out he broke by filling his desire And it's out of the frying pan and into the fire I saw him taking the white line, and it was fuelling his anger And when it flowed through his veins it was fuelling his anger One day he'll close his eyes One day he'll realise Oh, one day I hope he'll come through I saw him taking the white line, and it was fuelling his anger And when it flowed through his veins it was fuelling his anger I saw him taking the white line, and it was fuelling his anger And when it flowed through his veins it was fuelling his anger
