Hi folks, This site acts as a personal archive of my work. So you'll find my best recordings here as well as some pretty crappy ones. The earliest recordings here were made on simple cassette decks, others were made on mobile phones, some are live recordings made at various gigs over the years, a handful were made in small recording studios, but most of the more recent ones were made at home on a Zoom portable studio, which itself is now rather ancient! If you like a song and want to download it, click on 'Full song info' for that song and you will see the download link. Story behind the song
I am appalled by the way in which religion is frequently marketed to the masses by moneygrubbing charlatans - whether fake Indian mystics promising enlightenment or ranting Christian televangelists promising salvation. These shameless manipulators of the emotions of simple minded people need to be ridiculed and exposed for being the greedy hucksters they are. I might add that people peddling extreme religious fanaticism can be far more warped and dangerous than this - witness those who persuade kids that becoming a suicide bomber is the way to get to heaven..... This performance was recorded at the Crown Hall Mendocino in 1981. The photo shows me performing the song at an outdoor folk festival in England in 1976 - wearing a burnous I bought in Algeria.
