I had been with this one girl on and off for about 7 years. She was my first love. She was quite religious and I'm just not so the relationship was doomed from the start. Never go head to head with God, you'll loose every time! A few years after she was married I watched "Bridges of Madison County" on video. I thought I would hate this movie, but as it turned out I found it quite inspiring. I knew I had to write down my feelings about this girl and try to purge this heart ache I had held on to. A 10 page letter turned in to the lyrics for this song. I mailed her a CD with the song, but she never commented.
I'm happy to report that the process worked. I got over her and I've been VERY happily married with the love of my life, Lisa, for almost 2 years.
