This is a free form poetry slam hybrid of The Who and Dylan about just letting me have a couple of moments to myself before I "be who you need me to be" inspired by the mist that creeps over the lake.

Story behind the song
What is the mist? In the Adirondacks, it creeps over the lake and obscures things. In life, noise from the media and the pulls and tugs from my responsibilities are a kind of mist. All I ask is a little time to myself before I join in. Let me have my coffee and do my e mail first, OK?
Lyrics
This is way too much human interaction for this time of the morning people want to chatter and jabber and push small talk right into my shell shocked concert rocked ears I’ll talk to you later and be who you need me to be a moment alone please people want to jabber and chatter and let their trivia drain down into what’s left of my hibernated uncaffeinated brain media blackout cover everything in mist it’s a beautiful mistake that I’d like to make it’s a safety bubble I think that we’re heading for trouble it’s beautiful, so beautiful cover everything in mist
