Basically its a song for anyone who's ever looked into a flame and wondered about some of the choices you've made

Hi to all. I've been playing for allot of years now. Have been in bands and frankly don't like the playing out thing much anymore, getting to old to pack all the gear and haul it around I quess. Recently I was a member of a three piece group posted as High Plains. Great music and great guys, but with the playing out thing and other more pressing issues decided it was time to sit back and just do what I love best, create the type of music I love best.

Story behind the song
Actually, I'am a recovering alcoholic, tough to admit but true.Listening to others in recovery, their stories, their lives, and how similar we all are, even those people not in recovery. Its a song about second guessing the choices we've made, and making peace choices that we did make.
Lyrics
(1) Well I looked inside the flames of life And I’m not sure what I saw Where they dreams or sites of what I’ve done Premonitions yet to come (2) As the firelight dances to ah midnight song And sings its chorus in the night Poor choices I’ve made along these roads I paved Shine clear in the embers light Chorus But the demon always near Daunting, haunting fears Trying to draw; me Into those flames (3) The fire has cast its shadows in life And has shown what may come to pass But I know if I use these insightful sights I can clear my darkened path Chorus And I know they’ll never leave So I guess that I believe I need to make a friend With the ghost in the flame Music opening 2 / C- climb (4) New faces I see make me start to believe That all things can change with time And I know in my heart Each days a new start If I stay clean and do my part
