Electronica meets Pop meets Rap meets Rock meets Moby meets Tears For Fears meets Depeche Mode
Big Band To Supernova is all about the Search...... The search for happiness, the search for meaning in life, the search for God, the search for freedom, the search for justice. Life is an intrinsic paradox: its beauty and meaning is both as clear as a lighthouse beacon at night, and as unattainable as a mirage on a desert road. Muscially, Big Bang To Supernova are searching for new ways to express the sounds and influences that have been meaningful to them through the years. The great melodies of Tears For Fears and the moody beats of Depeche Mode are influences that combine with the latest in electronica, hip hop and rock, to forge the unmistakable sound that is Big Bang To Supernova.

Story behind the song
A group of video game marketing executives were getting together for their annual meeting. Competition was tough, sales were down, and their key demographic groups were already over-saturated. Suddenly, one executive had a brainstorm. "....The homeless! Why don't we market to the homeless! There must be thousands of them, millions maybe... And totally untapped! "....If we could just get our foot in the door, we would have the homeless demographic completely to ourselves. And everyone knows they've got plenty of free cash - we've all given money to the guy standing on the freeway off-ramp, haven't we! "....And they have no other real expenses - house, car, etc. I bet we could sell thousands of units to them. And of course, just think what a service we would be providing - providing homeless people with our handheld video games would go along way towards alleviating the boredom of trudging through the streets, and sitting around on park benches! "...Now, of course we're really thinking about profits here, but if we can help our community at the same time it just makes things better for everyone. Now... all we need is a marketing plan... maybe we could have our reps target soup kitchens across the country...." Sound ludicrous? Of course it does. And yet, if you think about it, this is how corporate America tends to think about third world countries. Everyone in the USA knows the hardship and suffering that people in third world countries experience. But, rather than providing money, healthcare and leadership to the third world, American businesses see the third world as an opportunity: an export opportunity, a sales opportunity, a labor opportunity. Rather than using their influence to help the poor, corporate America exploits the poor in order in increase their own profits. But the bad news is: I'm guilty too... What do I do to help the third world? How have I made a difference? When I think about this honestly, I know that I am part of the problem, and not the cure.
Lyrics
Stranded in the Congo with the sleep haze in my head 50,000 children crawling hungry to my bed "Mr. California, can't you save at least a few?" "Never fear my children, Uncle Sam has love for you." Dynasty and MTV Boy bands in the air, love is everywhere Give them Oprah, daytime soaprah Wash away their cares The red, white and blue Is coming to you Khatmandu and Delhi knew that I was sure to come Line by line the sick and blind were beating on the drum "Can't you see the sadness, can't you see our people bleed?" "I can see it all my friends, and I know what you need." Good time Cola, sex payola Nike's got the game, where's your dream of fame Andy Warhol can you draw a billion fading flames chorus Senorita Marguerita tell me who will cry for you? 16 hour days your working in the sweatshops of Peru Jimmy Sharman has a boxer and he boxes till he's dead Just to make that basic living wage, to buy that loaf of bread I should be the one to walk the protest up in arms I should be the one that's raising all of the alarms I should be the one that helps to end the agony And not just sit around at home and watch it on TV
