When we last left our hero and villain
they were caught in one last embrace
Her salty tears dripped into my open sores
All I could do was bite her tongue
and squeeze her even more
I watched her turn and walk away
into an amber sunset, yeah
Now when I see a bright orange sky
I wipe away the tears and close my eyes
All that's left is her driveway
I clear the thoughts and continue straight
into the space I occupy
It's all I want and I don't know why
