Psychedelic punky stuff from rural Scotland
Seminal (careful with that there word, boy) rural punk band from early 80s Galloway (Scotland), line-ups have come and gone over the years but we have tried to remain true to our ethos: "Four chords good, three chords best". As the available pool of contemporary local musical talent has gone into retirement the average age of the band has reduced. This year it is 28!

Story behind the song
The band was about one day old when the song was written in 1981. Owen was a proficient blues twiddler, and the intro came from that. I'm not at all sure where Paul got the words from, but "when I awoke this morning" sounds like a good way to start a blues song. This version was recorded at the Wickerman Festival 2004, Dundrennan, Scotland. We were on the same bill as the Buzzcocks for this one :-) Harmonica is provided by Kev Ellis of Acousticat, a Portsmouth based band who I met over the internet!
