Track #4. One of Jeff's biggest hits, "The Heart's Reality" was one of our first songs to not use a rap beat in the slightest. The beat's actually a Yo-Yo-Ma piece...Jeff does a powerful job rapping over it.

Nerds While AZN (NWA) was originally an idea thrown around as a joke, something that would never fully become a reality. However, thanks to a little ingenuity, a few instrumentals, and two or three microphones, NWA became a reality on September 15, 2004, with the track "NWA Anthem," a song that shocked the hell out of everybody who originally expected something sucky (only to receive something godly). Originally, NWA was planned as starring Jeff King (DMK), Jun Xiang (Jam Master Jun), and an unnamed third party who has since been incarcerated for selling bootleg textbooks (we love you, Zhen). Jeremy Blum (Blummer) ended up taking the reigns as the third member of the group, however, mainly because he was the only one at the time who knew how to put the tracks together. In the end, Nerds While AZN transformed into much more than a simple joke and quickly became a serious undertaking. The group has gone on to release track after track, combining inspirational raps about everyday life with hard-hitting beats, occasionally with guest appearances from anyone who wants to jump in. Nerds While AZN is: DMK (Jeff King) Long regarded as an inspiring example of innate goodness, as well as the originator of the intense "Nerd Pride" revolution of 2003-2004, Jeff King surprised the world by assuming his DMK (Dark Man King) persona for the first NWA track, "NWA Anthem." He has since become widely known for his passionate rapping style (which usually involves yelling himself hoarse over a beat) and powerful, emotional solo songs such as "The Heart's Reality" and "Final Fantasy." Jam Master Jun (Jun Xiang) Originally reluctant to join the group (because he thought he was too cool or something) Jun changed his mind after "NWA Anthem" came out. Making his first appearance on the "Match The Nerds With The Voice" track, Jun brought with him influence from famous mainstream emcees as well as a distinct rapping voice, often considered to be a bridge between DMK's yelling and Blummer's softer style. Aside from writing good hooks, Jun has also been the star of many of the most popular tracks in NWA history. Blummer (Jeremy Blum) JB is one of the originators of the Nerds While AZN concept, the third member of the group, and the resident producer of almost every NWA track (he basically does a lot of stuff). He has become known for his soft yet distinct rapping style which often utilizes multiple bars ending with the same rhyme. As the group producer, Blummer loops instrumentals and edits vocals to create the unique NWA sound. He also maintains the NWA website and has gone on to produce three solo mixtapes of his own: "Gaiden," "Bushido," and "Densetsu." So that's NWA. And yes, we know we aren't the first group to use that acronym--this originally started out as a joke, remember? Anyway, if you didn't know who we were before, now you do.

Lyrics
Nerds While AZN - The Heart's Reality (feat. DMK) Hey, I got something to say People looking at each other like everyday And just dissing how each other may appear without caring that one may shed a tear People just want to be better than others Who cares if they're even your brothers? We're all engulfed in this stupid competition Until we drive someone into submission Whatever happened to the ideals of helping Seems like the kind ones are the only ones yelping Overshadowed with those gifted with intelligence can't even make up for it with their benevolence Whatever happened to being true to your heart? Whatever happened to knowing where to start? Whatever happened to being true to your heart? Turn on the TV and what do you see? Pretty people having a happiness spree Look out the window and who do you see? The girl who went to Harvard university. So now you only want to be just like her And then your life turns into a blur Cuz when you live trying to be like someone else You'll soon find out you'll lose yourself. Why not think about the nerd pride way Some things are given on ones birthday You never had that choice to be pretty or smart So why regret it or begin to start You can still make your claim to fame By just playing a little hard work game And using it to help another name. ---CHORUS--- So you may not have those hollywood looks you don't have the brain to read the hardest books Genetics gave you those clumsy hands So you can't handle all the pains and demands In reality you have no friends or fans Your parents are the only ones in the stands But at least behind that superficiality You are yourself in reality. ------------ So it doesn't matter what clothes you wear or the way that you put up your hair who cares about the way that you talk Or how you strut and like to walk How come people place importance on the outside When the most important things are on the inside I don't get it. Why? Why? Why? (CHORUS) Some things in time will always age Looks and brains are on the same page Tomorrow you may get scarred in the face And then you'll feel like a big disgrace We hate to use it as a reminder But your brain's always prone to Alzhiemer BUt as long as your life continues to flow Your heart will always continue to grow Kindness and hard work will never depart Cuz they're centered right in your heart. (CHORUS) Hard work and kindness prevail They will never fail Don't try to make them hide We're all nerds, nerd pride! yeah
