A collaboration with a good friend. She wrote the lyrics, I composed a melody (for an alto) and attempted to sing a guide vocal.

Acoustic side project focused on growth, exploration and annoying the shit out of people.
Inspiration can hit at the strangest times. Lately I've been inspired by some pretty offbeat memories, experiences, readings and ideas. My hope is that I can blend them with the words in my heart and stake my claim of originality. That being said, this is overflow parking. Here, have a seat.

Story behind the song
My guess is that Elyse wrote this poem about her myriad guy troubles, specifically with one individual who shall forever remain nameless. As for the song's creation, I had been promising I would turn this into a song for quite some time but never had the...time. So one night I just got sick of my laziness, resurrected an old riff called "Creme" and devised the melody on the spot. Literally recorded 5 minutes after I wrote it.
Lyrics
May Concern He is made free, yet imprisoned by a simple choice Trapped in this cold- hollow- empty- cell- Alone, but not lonely… He slowly turns away Away from the confusion, pandemonium; chaotic surroundings Out the window to the peace Outside the window things are calm Serene and tranquil as a day ago The mirror to the past now shatters as the future closes in. That portal now gone, cracked and broken The lonely shards of glass now lay at His feet Time is frail, easily broken as Eyes become damp with tears He never knew what would mean so much Mind becomes blank as it races, looking for an excuse For why this has happened And what will occur because of it. And as He sits in tranquil solitude and wonders, “why me” He will make the hardest decision of Life And still I will be as alone as I am now.
