no one even knew his name

There was once a flood
of epic proportions
the people did flee when it came

But the man held fast
with his arms raised high
He knew that his day had come

But the Lord God knew
It wasn't part of His plan
and the water passed him by

There was once a child
left behind in the wild
his mother had left him and fleed

There once was a man
who found him and smiled
he knew it was meant to be


The man held the child
as if it was his own
He knew that his day had come

He was saved from the flood
and brought to this spot
to give life to this little one

In mysterious ways indeed
He'll save one soul
