Inspiration can hit at the strangest times. Lately I've been inspired by some pretty offbeat memories, experiences, readings and ideas. My hope is that I can blend them with the words in my heart and stake my claim of originality. That being said, this is overflow parking. Here, have a seat.

Story behind the song
Simple: a guy really likes this one girl, writes a bunch of letters of what he wants to say but can't. One day he wakes up and realizes he's wasting his fucking life, so he goes to the river and chucks the letters. I actually wrote this on very personal experience, though not experience I'm proud of. I actually wrote it on a ledge hanging over a sewage pipe, but I felt a river/waterfall was a much more poignant setting.
Lyrics
Letters to Catherine She bleeds with a broken mind Tells me it's over now I run away 'cause I Can't take it like a man Now that I'm standing here Next to the waterfall I know I'm sorry dear But it's time to get rid of it all And I'm throwing away These letters to Catherine That say what I shouldn't say And I'm still amazed These letters to Catherine Will stay with me day after day I know you never knew The feelings inside of me I couldn't face the truth Things I refused to believe It was all over Before it got started That don't make it easier I'm ashamed to say I'm broken hearted And I'm throwing away These letters to Catherine That say what I shouldn't say And I'm still amazed These letters to Catherine Will stay with me day after day These letters to Catherine Will stay.
