Story behind the song
This song was written for a media arts course that I'm doing, so the recording should sound better. The idea for the song came about while I was playing tennis and getting frustrated with myself and the other players. Then I realised that Jesus loves me whether I make good shots or bad ones. He loves those against me whether they are nice or nasty. He affirms each and every one of us. What GOOD News that is! So I wrote the song to remind me.
Lyrics
I have the most amazing thoughts on the tennis courts of life, it's forty fifteen to the other team and the tension is on the rise. If I muff this, what will I be worth? Where will I hide in the ground? Here is the answer that I have found, we're all the same on the earth. I have this affirmation, What cause for celebration, nobody's value's changed by what they do or achieve. Solely by our creation we have the adoration of the one in whose heart we were truly conceived. It doesn't matter, not at all, who it was that called the shots. My partner may seem as if in a dream, or the one against me cheat lots. Will things improve if I take revenge? Will I feel good when they're down? Here is the answer that I have found life is the best if we're friends. I have this affirmation, There's no discrimination, nobody's value's changed by what they do or achieve. Solely by our creation we have the adoration of the one in whose heart we were truly conceived.
