Story behind the song
This track was inspired by a paper I had to write for a contemporary art history course. We read an article that compared drum n bass music and culture to abstract art in the early 20th century, which was rather interesting, even though at the time I knew very little about dnb. (Oddly enough, a friend in the class was a huge dnb fan, and got me hooked on the music several months later, but that's another story.) The title came from my notes, where I was trying to compare Apollonian and Bacchanalian ideals of art. In the Bacchanalian view, pandemonium (especially in dance and song) keeps us sane by providing temporary insanity as an alternative to the eternal grind of daily life.
