August 19th,2005- So, not a whole lot to say here. Well what i have to say is big pertaining to the band, we've had a name change. From Grey Matter was too close to another band from Cambridge, Dark Matter, so the name has been changeed to A Taste Of Atrocity. Im starting a page on soundclick no, just so i can do the updates there instead of here. SO this'll be the last message on this site, until about a month before i take it down. Story behind the song
This song is busy, i mean busy. I dont know if anyone will notice but it almost sounds like we have a string section in there but we dont. THe vocals are in three layers, my fore-vocals, and my back-vocals, as well as Andre in the background of the quiet part singing the lines below in the lyrics part. We did the quiet part with a full-sized hollow body Ibanez(thx john), and the heavy part and solo with Keith's infamous guitar that he is pictured with in his bio(i dont know what it is, i cant rememebr cuz i smoke pot, so keith can fill this in if he so desires). Then behind it all Keith also plays a 12 string acoustic through the whole song and that is where im guessing we got the string sound.
