The "AJPeace Project", my first ever adventures in music. An adolescents imaginary bands first album recreated by the magic of todays technolgy.
In the late 1960's into the early 1970's I was a teenager, still in school and clueless about what to do with my life. I had yet to learn guitar but spent hours in the front room playing on the family upright piano. In my imagination I was in a band called "The AJ Peace Project". For some reason I thought the most important recording label in the world was United Artists. With biro in hand I created their first platinum selling album. All these decades later (and with help from ai) this is my attempt to reimagine what that band may have sounded like if countless dollars and the talent of actual producers had been poured into these dreams! It is hopelessly naive and disconnected, but as these songs have played in my head for over 50 years it was tme for their excorcism. So I proudly present the world famous band "THE AJ PEACE PROJECT"

Story behind the song
When I was kid I enjoyed reading Showell Styles children's book "The Shop in the Mountain" about adventures in Snowdonia. Made up my own version and added a tune. The book is now hard to find... and the lyrics may not make much sense... so a wonderful song for "The AJ PEACE PROJECT"
Lyrics
The Shop in the Mountains High in the hills of Snowdonia range There's a shop in the mountains An unlikely place for adventure But that's what happened. Meg and Dilly lost their father in an avalanche And with their mum, Mrs Hughes Came to the hills for a holiday Came to the shop in the mountains. Simon arrived one day to join them Came to the shop in the mountains Been trying to earn new hiking boots But became caught in a storm. Together on an adventure They discover an ancient Roman fort Mysterious things happen Around that shop in the moun-tains. And... in their imaginations ....it's Like a mountain avalanche, Like a mountain avalanche Like a fearful avalanche, Like a mountain avalanche Like a high fortress, Like a windy fortress, Like a foggy fortress, Like an active fortress, Like a high adventure, Like a bold adventure Like a strange adventure, Like an unbelievable adventure All around the shop in the mountains Meg and Dilly Hughes and Simon Have such strange times Maybe because they'd lost someone They really loved. Or maybe there was magic in those Snowdonia hills All around that shop in the mountains That sold climbing goods along with pots and pans. The Shop in the Mountains
