A thoughtful, slightly melancholy song by The Lazarus Ladders. This is the slightly longer, 'Album version'.

Major Snagg is the invented name of the 'band' that perform all my own musical creations. (songs and instrumentals). I play guitars, bass, rudimentary keyboards, harmonica, and sing. Melody has always been important to me... lyrics and guitar solos have to say or communicate something. I create musical worlds that I hope that you dear listener, will also want to explore and live in for a few moments...or longer if you feel that way inclined.

Lyrics
The End Of A Dream ... [ The Lazarus Ladder] c David A Briggs 2022. Intro: mellow guitar melody What should you do, when the dream comes to an end, do you go your own way, and still remain friends? broken hearts can mend. We took it all, as far as we could, just because you can, doesn't mean that you should, that approach is no good. Lots of small towns (lots of small towns) that all look the same (that all look the same) looking back, I've found, is a pointless game. We played on, until the house lights came on, until the glitterball stopped, and everyone had gone, yes, everyone had gone. guitar solo: Lots of small towns (lots of small towns) that all look the same (that all look the same) looking back, I've found, is a pointless game, 2nd. guitar solo. What should you do, when the dream comes to an end, do you go your own way, and still remain friends? broken hearts can mend. Lots of small towns (lots of small towns) that all look the same (that all look the same) looking back, I've found, is a pointless game... instrumental outro: 3rd. guitar solo.

Excellent guitar work! This track has that "classic hit" vibe to it, retro elements but timeless appeal. Very impressed by your versatility & all the different styles that you can produce. A melancholy song, but lost loves & hopes are always the subject for winning songs and this song ticks all the boxes for a major hit.
