Longest and probably best song I've recorded up to this point. It's about being trapped in a nightmare (clever, eh?)

A solo punk band with songs ranging from politics to social issues to evolutionary biology.
Lacking any real musical talent, I decided to use Punk-o-Matic to create some generic punk backgrounds to the various songs I had written. Recorded at low quality through a computer microphone, the songs are not musical masterpieces but the lyrics are still strong. Give it a listen, you might enjoy it.

Have you ever had the dream where you’re falling? Plunging hopelessly into an abyss far below Well, I have and do you know what is appalling? All the way down I was just enjoying the show. Have you ever imagined what the results would be If you swerved over the yellow line in the street? Are the consequences filled with bleak misery? Or do you just move on without missing a beat? As the world fades to black I learn there’s no turning back I fear to close my eyes But even open I’m horrified I’m living in a nightmare Depression everywhere Destined for despair On death I do declare That I’m living a nightmare Have you ever laid awake staring at the stars? Stopped the grinding of your mind and took pace, Glaring at the heavens wondering who you are, Questioning the vary existence of the human race. Have you ever wondered if it hurts to die? Ever considered where you go when you flatline? Are there celestial fields above us high? A most profoundest Hell or just nothing to find? Just to see what others truly thought. Would the speech be full of regrets and apologies? Or just a formality read by kin begot? Every time I put my head to sleep my mind goes black, If mournful dreams were pennies I’d be a millionaire, As apathetic as usual I close my eyes and lean back, Brutal pictures painted in my head with little care. As I lay rotting here, wishing that I were dead. Would the world notice if I no longer existed?
