This song has been on the go for a while now and basically the story is to do with 11th september, and how shocked the whole world was at what happened, lyrically explains itself..

Just enjoying the creation process, been a writer in my head all my life, other profile is Tested And approved, just joined this little band of likewise thinkers, been on acidplanet for 4 years or more, thats where all the songs are. I think I'm learning and haven't completely got the group name right yet, GripWeed was the charecter John Lennon played in How I won the war, the film he made and wrote Sgt Peppers on the set. The other title i have is Milkwood, from Dylan Thomas's Under milkwood. My wish for this group is that you could basically get a hit tune based on the quality of the song and not how many spammed junk mail the desperate people send out. all I want out of life is the chance to record an album how I want it, because i know I can write as good as and sometimes better than some of the chart stuff now,

Story behind the song
musically it's meant to be set up as, good bad, black and white, hence the brother earth sister moon opposites and the piano bass and the top end, the first part i got the idea from when the planes crashed into the towers, sort of always liked a track by pink floyd called time the bass piano bass guitar in that was what i was trying to achieve. The sound of that is haunting, and tried to convey that in the bass piano.
the top end basically came about as we where looking for an opposite and that worked very well. I spent two hours one night sat infront of a keyboard working out a solo piano and got it off ok, then a mate came in and gave us this acoustic solo which is nicer. Would of liked my solo in it somewhere but didn't have room for both.
Just found the lyric in my head it was what we where all thinking at the time, and needed to try and help in some way, when i posted it on acidplanet, i got some absolutely beautiful feedback, it had done as i had wanted it to do, help
I would of liked for it to be recorded properly in a studio because i am very proud of it, but finances stopped me at the time.
If you have the ability to take the song onto the next stage you are welcome, I have never really been interested in financial reward for my songs, more i just wanted to leave something behind that helped in some way.
Lyrics
safe in your world, safe in your home,
daybreak in the morning sun, sunlight down the barrel of a gun,
men work in the streets don't know,
eyes blind to this worldwide show.
my brother the earth my sister the moon,
for what its worth i can feel it to,
your pain is my pain, your suffering to,
I'll do what I can.
I can't take in the news today freedom isn't here to stay,
no clue of a reason why, terror rules the sky
terror rules the sky
my brother the earth my sister the moon,
for what its worth i can feel it to,
your pain is my pain, your suffering to,
my brother the earth my sister the moon,
for what its worth i can feel it to,
your pain is my pain, your suffering to,
