Dirty South rapper from the Bottom reppin the Grounds holding it down for Miami as well as all of Florida - Ran Rover
While some would like to think that young Ran Rover is just another Miami artist, Ran is determined to prove the critics wrong. This dedicated individual, has set out to impress hardcore hip-hop followers and mesmerize the ladies with his charm. His music stands apart from the rest of mainstream hip hop, that primarily focuses on materialism, because it is saturated with thoughtful insights about living in an environment that forces you to grow up quickly and make adult decisions. On his upcoming album, “Ride Wit Ya Boy”, Ran Rover upholds his street influenced lyrics while keeping his audience captivated by flowing on beats that keep the club “vibin’”. With two platinum selling veterans appearing on his album, Snoop Dogg and Juvenile, it seems set in stone that Ran Rover is bound to achieve superstar status.
Growing up in Carol City, Fl, an impoverished community in Miami, has given Ran Rover much to talk about; with small-time drug dealers and hustlers in his surroundings, he is not naive to the game. Ran officially began his musical career in late 2000, but has been writing lyrics since he was a young teen. With the help of childhood friend, Chadman Greaves, Ran joined the group ‘Dirty Wayz‘, whose members included: Ran Rover, Big Chad, G-Slimm and Krush a.k.a K-Dogg. Because of other members’ legal situations, Ran was urged to put forth a solo effort, while being aware to not leave the other group members behind. Ran’s style is typical of a Miami native, with the exception of his voice. His voice, raspy and low, distinguishes itself from other rappers, it has become his signature.
Maintaining that his major influences for starting his career were simply “the ladies”, as he puts it, gives some insight into Ran Rover’s character. Ran Rover describes himself as “loved by many, hated by few”, friends say that “anyone could get along with him”. His outgoing personality, is definitely an asset in this industry. Besides his gregarious nature, Ran is also an ambitious person controlling his own destiny, which explains why he presently attends Florida Memorial College. Equipped with the knowledge that this business is vicious and unrelenting, Ran Rover is prepared to take any route to succeed.
“Ride Wit Ya Boy”, Ran Rover’s debut album, encompasses much of what Ran represents. It is a mix of hard-reality street lyrics, club music and laid-back beats; he vividly illustrates his perception of reality based on his environment. Ran’s main goal is to show the world how talented and dedicated he is and reveal to everyone that he is unlike the rest.
