A song about drunken discontentment.
freddie peel acoustic ind
Acoustic / Indie, One man band/producer, Any Smiths fans out there?
Just listen to the songs and see what you think. Having said that; I am a 1st year sound engineering degree student with a small home recording set up. I don't claim to be a singer because I know my voice isn't up to scratch but have to try in order to hear my lyrics put to music. I am always looking for someone to sing on my songs for me...any takers? My music is mostly written on acoustic guitar and then later multitracked with suitable backings. Although I sometimes write for various instruments, the guitar is the basis for almost all composition meaning most songs could be considered 'acoustic' in genre. Despite this, the other elements bump it into what I can only describe as Indie.

Lyrics
(Verse 1) Swept away on a sweet white wine ocean, He drifted and drowned, Washed ashore on the beaches of drunken discontentment, (Bridge) He saw you, and you took it all away, Reaching out for you, but you just float away, Leaving him destitute. (Verse 2) Drifting further from dry white wine island, He swallowed the sea, Drifting and wishing the currents of misdirection would leave him be, (Chorus) Cast away on this desert sands, Got his feet on dry land, but he can't understand, Why he's left alone, after all of his hopes and his dreams (Came to be) (Verse 3) Floating far in the sobering sun he lay, He laid down his life, Floating and feeling the warmth from the contradiction
